Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Talo (the "Service"), operated by Talo ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

Talo provides a Chrome extension and web application that helps users generate personalized outreach messages and manage candidate relationships. The Service is provided "as is" and we may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

2. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to send spam, unsolicited messages at scale, or content that violates the terms of service of any platform you communicate on.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Use the Service to violate any law or the rights of any person.
• Resell or sublicense the Service without our written consent.

You are solely responsible for the content you generate, the accounts you message, and your compliance with the terms of any third-party platform you use the Service alongside.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. Billing is handled by our merchant of record, Gumroad, Inc., who will appear on your statement. You can cancel at any time from your billing portal; cancellation stops future renewals but does not refund the current period (subject to our Refund Policy).

We may change pricing on notice; changes apply to renewals after the notice period.

5. Refunds

Our refund policy is described at /refund and forms part of these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

We own all rights to the Service, including the software, design, and trademarks. You retain ownership of the content you input and the messages you generate. You grant us a limited license to process your inputs solely to provide the Service.

7. AI-generated content

The Service uses third-party large language models to generate message drafts. Output may contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing and editing every message before sending it.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if your use poses a security or legal risk.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to our principal place of business, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-product notice. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
